Revenues and Benefits are responsible for billing, administrating changes, awarding discounts, exemptions and reliefs and collection of council tax and business rates, also the assessment of claims and entitlements to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.

We are responsible for the collection of any Sundry Debts, Housing Benefit Overpayments and Housing Options debts that have been incurred.  All of these roles involve direct contact with our customers and liaison between other departments of the Council and organisations such as Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Valuation Office Agency.
