Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 16th June 2022. It was last reviewed on 22nd August 2024.

The website was last tested on 22nd August 2024. The test was carried out in-house.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.2 level A and level AA to test how accessible our websites are. A mix of manual and automated testing was carried out. The automated tools were WAVE, Axe and Microsoft Accessibility Insights for Web.

We used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach to decide on a sample of pages to test.

A sample of informational pages were selected for testing, as well as a job advertisement page, and our job application process. This sample was chosen because it includes pages and forms that customers would encounter when applying for a job at Torridge District Council, or viewing information about working at the authority.
