Public Health and Community Safety

The Public Health and Community Safety service covers a broad area of work. This ranges from the regulation of activities with the potential to impact on the environment, communities and individuals, to the adaptation and improvement of private housing stock across the district.

We work closely with businesses, ensuring appropriate standards are adhered to and practices are licenced, where required. The service represents Torridge on the Northern Devon Community Safety Partnership, working closely with the police and other organisations to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour across the region.
