Operational Services
Operational services is a large and diverse service covering waste & recycling collections, street cleansing and toilet cleaning throughout Torridge. Operational services also cover the grounds maintenance of Torridge owned grass, plants, and trees as well as looking after Bideford harbour where we are responsible for moorings, pilotage, and commercial cargo handling.
We are a public facing team with around seventy five staff members on the ground in the public eye every day keeping Torridge a clean and tidy place to live and work.
Estates
The Estates Team oversees and manages the Council’s real asset interests, with the purpose of generating income to support the wider operational services and delivering the financial, social and other objectives set out in the adopted Strategic Plan.
